So here's some interesting news for the day: we felt our first earthquake! It happened just after 11:3o this morning. The girls and I were watching a movie, Ben was across the street at the office. The ground started shaking and I could hear a rumbling noise, and it took me a second to realize what was going on. The girls started crying not sure what was happening, I wasn't sure what to do. Then my mind quickly raced back to elementary years of our earthquake drills, and I thought "stand in the doorway" I got the girls and we ran to the front door. By the time all this happened, it was pretty much over (it was only like 5-10 seconds). Ben came running through the back door making sure we weren't freaking out. There were no damages anywhere, I read on KSL.com that it was a 5.8. Pretty crazy!

I know how you felt! I grew up in northern CA where earthquakes are pretty common. There was a lot of damage sometimes. It's pretty scary when the ground is rumbling & moving. You did the right thing by heading for a doorway (or you can get under a table or desk, too). Wow!
